MEDCON is the annual medical conference organized by the Georgian International Medical Student Society (GIMSOC). It brings together medical students, doctors, healthcare professionals, and researchers to share knowledge, discuss current topics in medicine, and explore innovations in healthcare. Each year , the conference is held under a different theme, aiming to inspire learning, collaboration, and professional growth within the medical community.

About MEDCON
MEDCON is the flagship international medical conference organized by medical students, for medical students. Each edition takes a single clinical theme and builds a full programme around it — keynote speakers, hands-on workshops, and a research competition judged by an international jury. Centered on the theme of Oncology, MEDCON '26 explores this field through multiple system-specific perspectives, including Neurology, Reproductive Health, Gastrointestinal Medicine, Dermatology, and Pulmonology.
About GIMSOC
The Georgian International Medical Student Society (GIMSOC) is a registered Non-Profit (Non-Commercial) Legal Entity under the Civil Code of Georgia and the Law on Public Registry dedicated to fostering a vibrant community for medical students in Georgia. We focus on promoting professional and personal development through mentorship, clinical exposure, and community service. Our society comprises enthusiastic medical students from various universities in Georgia giving them the academic footing that medical curricula often leave out.

MEDCON ’26 - THIS YEAR FOURTH EDITION: THE ONCOLOGY SUMMIT
The Oncology Summit
MEDCON’26 is a three-day international medical conference organized by GIMSOC and hosted in Tbilisi, Georgia. The event brings together medical students, practitioners, healthcare professionals, medical experts, and surgeons from across Georgia and abroad.
Centered on the theme of Oncology, MEDCON’26 explores this field through multiple system-specific perspectives, including Neurology, Reproductive Health, Gastrointestinal Medicine, Dermatology, and Pulmonology.
The conference aims to foster learning, collaboration, and knowledge exchange among emerging and established professionals dedicated to advancing cancer care.

MEDCON’25 marked a significant milestone in the history of the conference series. Centered on the theme of Infectious Diseases, the conference brought together hundreds of attendees, including medical students, doctors, researchers, healthcare professionals, and leading experts.

Internal Medicine
Stepping into an immersive space of medicine & high end quality, MEDCON’24 - PULSE TO PRECISION The conference was conducted over two days, the 2nd & 3rd of November, 2024, at Ivane Javakhishvili State University.

MEDCON ’23 - FIRST EDITION: RESUSCITATE
Theme: Emergency Medicine
Resuscitate brought a better understanding of theoretical and practical skills of Emergency Medicine to many Georgian doctors and medical students alike. This was achieved through a mixture of lectures, panel discussions, and workshops.
